Taken From Shifting Gears Article – GM CAMI/UNIFOR LOCAL 88 Hold Thames River Clean-up with permission

On April 23rd both CAMI and UNIFOR Local 88 are looking for volunteers for a joint river clean-up. Come out with friends and family to help clean our newly adopted section of the watershed at Veterans Bridge. Everyone is welcome to meet us at the Union Hall at 10am for two hours of cleaning followed by a barbecue with prizes! Each volunteer registered is entered in a draw to win a new Nova Craft Canoe. This is a great opportunity for students to earn volunteer hours. CAMI has generously donated $2500 to having its very own river clean-up. UNIFOR Local 88 has also donated $500 towards the clean-up and an additional $500 towards the watershed. If you are unable to attend this joint clean-up, Ingersoll Parks and Recreation are holding an additional clean-up on Saturday April 22nd starting at the Ingersoll Fire Hall.
