Unifor will be hosting a public rally on Friday September 22 in Ottawa, urging all governments to commit to negotiating stronger labour standards in NAFTA 2.0

We have lined up labour leaders from the U.S. and Mexico to speak at the rally (names to be confirmed) along with our national president Jerry Dias.

Rally-goers will gather in downtown Ottawa at 430pm.

Unifor Local 88 will be sending busses to Ottawa. The bus will be leaving Ingersoll at 7AM and will return following the rally to Ingersoll.

Members wishing to attend please contact Colleen Wake, Unifor Local 88 Union In Politics Committee Chairperson. Sister Wake’s contact info is email- mzbx2@rogers.com or cell 519-933-7933. The busses will be filled on a first come first serve basis.

This is another avenue for the membership to participate in during this strike. We need to make sure our collective voices are heard in Ottawa this Friday as we seek a written commitment-lead producer letter from the company that ensures Chevy Equinox production stays at the GM CAMI Ingersoll facility.

If any member is interested we need to know immediately to be able to secure busses.

All are welcome to attend.
