June is Pride month

Posted in Communication, Human Rights, and Unifor Local 88

June is technically the start of Pride Month, but many areas celebrate IT at different times of the year – I want to wish Everyone a Happy Pride – many countries  still struggle for basic human rights and being Gay is still hard for many –  no matter who you are or what your sexual orientation is – Love is Love !! always has been and always will be … I’m blessed by a very opened minded family and many friends that accept me for just being me.

With the pandemic still going on many events have been cancelled or changed.
You can find a full list of events for Oxford here on their site Oxford Pride.
For the London area check out the London Pride site.

Standing up for human rights and the rights of workers is fundamental to what we do and who we are as a union — an injury to one is an injury to all.
Our credibility and our solidarity depend on it.
We need our lesbian, gay, bisexual and trans members to know that the union belongs to them as much as it belongs to anyone.

The National website has some great information to help answer questions the general public, allies, and elected leadership may have.

Everything you ever wanted to know about Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Trans issues …
Well, maybe not everything…”
