Get ready for the sticker shock slowdown.
The price of Canadian-made vehicles hitting U.S. dealer lots after tariffs are applied will rise between $2,500 and $15,000, depending on the model, says a recent report from a U.S. business consulting group.
That price jump may slow sales of vehicles made here, and see automakers cut production or idle plants, the group notes.

“The auto industry will contract. We expect significant job losses in the U.S. and Canada,” said Ilhan Geckil, managing director of Anderson Economic Group in New York.
