Paid Infectious Disease Emergency Leave (Paid IDEL): Putting Workers First Act
Due to the ongoing pandemic, the Government of Ontario recently announced a Paid Infectious Disease Emergency Leave (Paid IDEL) available to all employees who are covered by the Employment Standards Act (ESA).
The attached communication provides information to hourly employees about eligibility and the application process for Paid IDEL.
Hourly Team Members requesting Paid IDEL must apply in writing to Employee Relations and provide the specific reason for the leave.
