In celebration of the 40th anniversary of Final Offer: Bob White and the Canadian Autoworkers’ Fight for Independence, we are pleased to invite you to a special screening hosted by Unifor in partnership with Hot Docs, the National Film Board, and the Ageless Film Festival.
Please join us to reflect on the struggles of autoworkers then and now and our ongoing fight to protect the Canadian auto industry generations of workers have built.
Date: Sunday, October 5th, 2025
Screening: Film begins at 2:30pm, to be followed by a panel discussion with filmmaker Sturla Gunnarson and myself
Location: HotDocs Ted Rogers Cinema, 506 Bloor Street West, Toronto
Admission is free, but space is limited. Please be sure to reserve your ticket in advance.
We have set aside 25 tickets for each local in the sector. More spaces may be available upon confirmation that the already reserved 25 spots are filled, please let us know if you require more tickets. We ask that you not book more than 25 at a time to ensure everyone can be accommodated.
We ask you to get in touch with us if you would like to discuss transportation to the event (such as buses).
We hope you’ll join us in marking this milestone and celebrating our proud legacy of union advocacy in defending workers’ rights.
In solidarity,
Lana Payne
