Official Rally Call Letter From National

We all know about the peaceful rally at our plant this coming Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. Here is the official call letter from the President’s office.
If you can make it, please come out and show support. Bring your whole family, friends, neighbours, your community and check the weather becaause it’s Autumn in Canada.

To: Local Union Presidents, Financial Secretaries & Recording Secretaries and All Staff in Ontario

Canada’s auto industry is under direct attack. President Trump has made it clear he wants our auto jobs on U.S. soil—and now automakers are caving to his pressure by shifting production south of the border.

And it doesn’t stop at auto. Trump is taking aim at the foundation of Canada’s industrial economy—forestry, steel, aluminum, heavy duty truck and bus manufacturing, and other sectors that sustain good, unionized, middle-class jobs in communities across this country.

As Trump tries to drag our jobs to the United States, we are reminded of a simple truth: these jobs, these communities, and these industries are ours to protect.

All Unifor members and staff are asked to attend a solidarity demonstration at either the Brampton Assembly Plant or CAMI Assembly Plant in Ingersoll starting this Wednesday, October 29 at 9:00 AM Eastern.

These actions are in response to inexcusable actions taken by both Stellantis, which has announced its intent to  relocate the Jeep Compass program  from Brampton to the U.S.), and General Motors, which has announced the cancellation of the BrightDrop electric vehicle program at CAMI in Ingersoll and also plans to eliminate the third  shift at Oshawa Assembly Plant in January.

Please join us and stand together to defend our jobs, our communities, and to continue to fight the Trump tariff war!

Date: Wednesday, October 29, 2025 (daily proceeding)
Time: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Locations: Brampton Assembly Plant – 2000 Williams Pkwy, Brampton, ON L6S 6B3 and CAMI Automotive – 300 Ingersoll St S, Ingersoll, ON N5C 4A6

When we fight together, we win!

In solidarity,

Lana Payne
National President
