The past couple years have been extremely hard to meet as a chapter and keep our retirees engaged.
In saying this, on behalf of the leadership and membership of Unifor Local 88 I would like to extend a thank you to Brian Ginty, Doug Howey and the entire Retiree Chapter Executive Board for all the hard work they have done for Local 88 retirees. Brian was the original Chapter Chair and along with Doug and the rest of the Retiree Chapter leadership they did a great job and have brought our Retiree Chapter to where it is today. With the Retiree Chapter growing every month with new members we now have more then 1100 retirees.
To all the retirees from Local 88, this is your chapter. Get involved or stay involved so the chapter can continue to grow.
The Unifor Local 88 Retiree Chapter Elections were held online and are now complete. I would like to congratulate Dan LeFrank and Doug White for their successful election to the positions of Chair and Vice Chair respectively. Also, congratulations to Emerson Cornish Sergeant-at-Arms, Cindy Malan and William McKinnon, Trustees for being acclaimed to their positions and all retirees who put their name forward in this election. There are still positions to be filled on the Executive Board which the Chapter will do when they next meet.
