A Battery Plant parking lot expansion project is set to begin the week of June 3rd ( with heavy equipment is expected to be on-site starting the week of June 10th). The anticipated start date marks another step towards addressing the growing parking needs of the facility.
In addition to the parking lot expansion, a roundabout (and pedestrian path) will be Phase 2 of the project (see image). The roundabout is designed to improve traffic flow within the facility and reduce congestion during shift times when employees exit onto Ingersoll Street. This enhancement will contribute to a smoother and safer traffic experience for all employees.
The completion date for the parking lot expansion project has been set for September 2024. Upon completion, the facility will boast an increased number of parking stalls, with a total of 396 regular stalls and an additional 63 motorcycle stalls. This expansion aims to alleviate the parking challenges faced by employees and provide a more convenient parking experience.
With the anticipated completion date in September 2024, employees can look forward to a more efficient and accommodating parking experience.
