During recent negotiations. General Motors agreed to explore the possibility of on-site childcare by initiating a feasibility study.

The first step in this process involves gauging employee interest through a survey. Employees will have the opportunity to express their needs regarding childcare services. Once the survey responses are collected, Alex McCoy and the company will meet and discuss the results and viability of the program.  This is just the beginning of the initiative, and Unifor 88/GM plan to release more information as the study progresses. This move reflects the Union’s dedication to supporting its workforce and enhancing our work-life balance.
