EI Benefit Repayment Process Now Available
To begin the repayment process, follow these steps:

File your tax return with the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA).

Once processed, the CRA will issue a Notice of Assessment (NOA). Check line 422—if it shows a “Social Benefit Repayment,” you’ll need to fill out the Application for EI Benefit Repayment Form. Make sure to include all required tax documents and attach your NOA for processing.

Upload your documents to Workday (see instructions below).

Email your completed EI Benefit Repayment form to: camihrlr.mailbox@gm.com.

Important: Only email the application form—do not send supporting documents via email. All additional documents must be uploaded to Workday for HRLR to review. (Retirees must bring their completed form and documents to the Unifor Benefit Representatives for processing)

Email subject format: Include your name, GMIN, location, and “EI reimbursement.”
Example Subject Line: John Smith 123 456 789, CAMI, EI reimbursement
