Unifor Local 88 Resource Centre has partnered with Fanshawe College and Community Employment Services to offer a variety of free of charge workshops.
These workshops will be held at the Union Hall. Minimum of 5 per course, or the course will be cancelled.
Interview Skills geared towards helping those interested in perusing skilled trades apprenticeships on January 9th from 9am- 11am. Deadline for this will be January 5th.
Financial Literacy will be on January 17th from 9am-12pm. This workshop has been created to help you organize, understand, and grow your financial resources through a variety of tools and budgeting techniques. In addition, you will develop an understanding of the multiple avenues for money management. The key learning outcomes are to understand your spending habits, utilize a budget, money management tips and tricks, planning for your future and routine maintenance of your credit. Deadline for this workshop will be January 12th.
Intermediate Digital Literacy workshops! These workshops will be a step up from basic skills in the following-Word, Excel and Google Docs.
February 5th and 8th – Word
February 12th and 15th- Excel
February 22nd and 26th- Google Docs
