Brother Rob White

It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Rob White on October 26, 2021. Rob most recently worked as our Union Awareness Coordinator and Trainer also in the Assembly department when he started at Cami in 2013. Rob joined CAMI from GM Diesel as a pref hire.

Having the pleasure to have worked with Rob over the years has been an absolute honour.
He was a man of his word, many words (and stories)!

If he wasn’t telling-the-longest-story-of-all-time, he was poking fun at himself. It was for good reason: his sense of humour is what drew  people in. He was a Master of Connecting! For anyone who met him, you already know this to be true.

Rob was one of the most generous and kind people you could hope to meet: a true friend who would always reach out and check in. He always made time for others.

He was also the definition of an activist. If he wasn’t rocking a band t-shirt he was wearing a union shirt! Our union will not be the same without his presence as he was an advocate for workers and believed passionately in solidarity.

May the memory of his wonderful, funny personality and many contributions be celebrated. He will leave a huge hole in our lives and be sorely missed. My heartfelt sympathy goes out to his wife Mandy and sons Bobby and Joey and extended family.

“The comfort of having a friend may be taken away, but not that of having had one.”
