Tears to Hope Society 5 km Walk

On Saturday June 17, 2023 members of Unifor Local 88 along with other Locals in the London area, joined with Unifor Regional Office in London for the first annual Tears to Hope Fundraising Campaign. This group of 40 union sisters and brothers completed a 5 km walk at Springbank Park in London for this great cause. The Tears to Hope Society provides support to the families of missing and murdered indigenous loved ones. The money raised will go towards building a healing centre in Terrace, B.C. Along with donations from individual members of our local, Unifor Local 88 made a $5000 donation on behalf of the membership through the Social Justice Fund. Unifor Local 88 wishes Tears to Hope Society, all the best in building this much needed healing centre and their continued support to the families in need.
