Statement from Unifor Local 88 President:

Unifor Local 88 is horrified and deeply saddened by the attack in London, Ontario this weekend. There is no place for hate in our communities and in our workplaces. As a union, we will continue to support the Muslim community, educate our members and lend voice when needed for all marginalized groups. Racism and bigotry has no place in our country or in our communities. Unifor Local 88 offers its deepest condolences to the families affected in this tragic event.

For our members, discussions with General Motors to hold a joint gate collection are taking place. Details to follow.
