It has been a slow week, baby steps trying to resolve issues.
I was in Toronto yesterday with heads of Unifor, GM Canada and some high-ranking USA GM heads. We had a 2-hour meeting and i will say more baby steps.
The federal gov’t gave GM 15 days for an action plan, that 15-day deadline is today, so we are waiting to see what news that brings.
We are going to try a new idea – next Wednesday, November 12th, at 12 noon, we are going to do a live stream question and answer session.
We will have an address for people to log in, we are thinking You Tube as not everyone has Facebook, and people can type in questions, and we will be live, answering the questions.
We will have benefit reps available, and other reps to help answer any questions the membership has. I will start it off with a brief overview on what we know and then get right into the questions. We will try it for one hour and see how this goes.
We will figure this out in the next couple of days and post how to log on and how to ask questions.
