Please be aware that a phishing email is currently circulating that falsely claims to be from Unifor Local 88.
The email has the subject line or heading: “Key Announcements and 2026 Special Report for Your Review” and asks recipients to open an attachment or click a link to sign in.
What You Need to Do:

DO NOT click any links in that email.

DO NOT download or open any attachments.

DO NOT enter your email address or password if prompted by this message.

DELETE the email immediately.
How to Spot this Scam:
While the email attempts to look official, it contains several major red flags:

Fake Area Code: The phone number listed uses a (559) area code, which belongs to Fresno, California—not our local region.

Suspicious Links: It directs you to log in with an external email address to view a “secure document.”

Generic / False Sender: It is signed by a “Brent Tree, Head of Client Relations”—this is not a legitimate position or representative of Unifor Local 88.
