We want to give our members a heads-up that Unifor Local 88(.ca) will be moving to a new web hosting provider in the coming days.
This transition comes following the well-earned retirement of our longtime hosting provider The NetNow and Heather, who has supported our local’s online presence for a number of years. We are grateful for her dedication and the reliable service they provided to our Union, and we wish them all the best in this next chapter.
We are now moving to Web Hosting Canada, and we are using this opportunity to modernize and strengthen our digital infrastructure — making our website, app, and communications more secure, stable, and sustainable for the long term.
What to expect:
The website URL will remain the same. During the migration process, some members may experience brief, minimal disruption to the website or the Unifor Local 88 app. We are working closely with our new hosting provider to make this transition as seamless as possible and expect any interruptions, if any occur at all, to be very short-lived.
What you need to do:
Nothing — no action is required on your part. Simply continue using the website and app as you normally would. If you happen to notice any issues once the migration is complete, we want to hear from you.
