From the Recording Secretary’s Desk – Procurement Policy

Unifor Local 88 has a procurement policy for everything purchased by the local. We have had it for as long as I’m aware.
Everything from pens and paper to computers and HVAC units for the hall.
That policy is:

1. We Buy Local (union made first if possible)
2. We Buy Canadian (again union made first if possible)
3. If we can’t follow 1 and 2 we will look for the most ethically sourced products available.

We will continue to follow these polices moving forward.
In these troubling times remember to support local businesses near you and make an extra effort to read the label.
