The company will be contacting certain members starting this week.

By Employment Standard Act (ESA) they are required to offer severance pay (and in some cases Termination pay based on ESA definition) due to the fact the some members’ layoffs in the last 52 weeks have surpassed 35 weeks. The calculated amount is from the ESA.
Many more members will be contacted as they reach the ESA threshold.

Members in this situation will be given an opportunity to either;

    • accept severance/termination pay.
      or
    • maintain their Right of Recall to work.

Choosing to sever is quitting your job at CAMI

and giving up your recall rights.

We are still attempting to get some answers on the severance works for members who are retirement eligible.

We will update the membership as soon as we have more information.
