Attached below is the update on GM/CAMI’s Production plans.
The plant will continue to remain idle until Mid-April.
Production plans will be re-evaluated at that time. Trades members will be informed if they are required to work.
We will continue to post updates and details on unifor88.ca as we get any new information.
2021-2022 Vacation Scheduling
We would like to provide the membership the ability to plan their time off for the 2021-2022 vacation year as soon as possible.
Given the situation we are facing, it is not possible schedule vacation in our conventional method. It is our intention to have vacation scheduling completed during this down time, we are planning on doing it in the next couple of weeks. We will have proxy sheets available and hope to contact members to confirm selections.
Please continue to monitor unifor88.ca where we will communicate the process. Proxy sheets and instructions for scheduling will be posted as soon as they are available.
Launch Team Postings
There will be postings for the “Launch Team” for the new product. There is still a requirement for the Launch Team as the plant remains idle.
Postings for those jobs will go up on the GM Cami Assembly website as early as next week and will remain up for approximately one week.
