Any member who has been on the extended layoff will be expected to return to work Tuesday, October 15.
Union reps will begin calling all laid off members starting Thursday, October 3.
Everyone will need to pick one of three options – return to work, quit or retire.
The reps will go over the options with you. Everyone who returns to work will begin 2 weeks on, 2 weeks off at some point in October. There will NOT be an option to go back on layoff at this time.
Starting Thursday after 7am, if you cannot wait for a phone call, please call 519-521-7052 (Alex McCoy) and she will answer your questions and take your option that you are picking.
There will be no vacation granted during this time or LOA’s, people need to make a decision on one of the three options.
If we are unable to make contact with anyone, the company will be sending out letters to those individuals and they will have 5 days to report for work.
