Earlier this week, the CAMI plant manager Dennys Pimenta, put out a statement informing us of delays with the new model. We do not have an exact date other than early next year.
GM is trying for the fastest launch in their history, but delays, especially with the world-wide supply chain are once again hitting us.
We are currently in talks with the heads of CAMI. Our senior members have been laid off since May 1, they are now entering their 6 month of layoffs. Our junior members are running out, or completely out of EI, SUB and some have no IMP, therefore they have zero monies coming in.
We cannot continue to rotate layoffs forever. We need answer and timelines that need to be followed. And our members need money.
