It is with great sadness and a heavy heart that I pass along the following. On Saturday December 4, 2021 Brother Dan Borthwick passed away. Dan spent his entire 30 plus years at GM Cami Assembly representing and looking out for our members. Dan held many roles as a member of Unifor Local 88, and his final position was President. Dan was a great advocate for working women and men, and it did not matter if the person was a member of a union. If the cause would make someone’s life easier or better Dan was all in to help. Dan’s workday never stopped when the buzzer sounded at the end of the day. On behalf of the membership of Unifor Local 88 I send sincere condolences to Dan’s wife Gwen and their families. Rest in Peace Dan and you will forever be in the hearts of our members.
