With the continued struggles of many people in the community due to the rising cost of food, shelter and utilities along with the continuing uncertainty in their workplaces, Unifor Local 88 has made donations to area food banks, Alexandra Hospital, United Way of Oxford, United Way Elgin Middlesex and Inter – Church Christmas Hamper Program this year (2024) with money from the Social Justice Fund.
Below are some pictures of the presentations made to each organization. The message received when making these presentations, was one of great appreciation of how kind and giving the membership of Unifor Local 88 is and continues to be when it comes to helping the communities we work and live in.
