Some Members who were paid the P & Q bonus had
LITTLE TO NO INCOME TAX DEDUCTED FROM THEIR BONUS AMOUNT (individual circumstances may vary)
This is based on Government rules, annual earnings, and tax codes
For those members with little to no annual income from GMCC, will likely need to pay a significant amount come next tax-filing season when added to their income from other sources. We highly recommend calculating how much tax you would normally be required to pay and save it for when the tax bill comes in. A TFSA might be a useful option for securing the cash that will be required at Tax time
Members noticing current increase in taxes:
Any time there are prior period earnings being paid in the current week, those earnings go back to the period they should have originally be paid in and taxes are re calculated. The resulting tax difference are deducted from your pay. This is why some members noticed a larger amount of taxes in the current week because there was the bonus payment made the same week you are receiving your sub payment for.
