UPDATE- After further conversations with Service Canada EI to avoid Integrity or Audit issues. All Members on EI and SUB and on full SUB receiving the 6 month payment and/or 6% vacation payout, call Benefits with your paystub so we can get it documented with Service Canada EI. With the temporary measure still in effect until April 11,2026 Separation of monies will not affect your EI. If you are on EI, you can do your EI report normal and say “No” to other monies but call Benefits with a copy of your paystub so we can get your gross amount of the payouts documented.
For the 70 Members in the first group that were laid off in February 2025, you will need to call Benefits so your payouts can be documented even if you are on full SUB now. (The temporary measure does not apply to this group).
