Back in May/June we asked everyone to basically post blind into every job going forward for the Brightdrop. That was very tough as people were not sure what the jobs entailed, layout, etc. Due to the this, the company and union have had further discussions and we have an agreement on the following;
The 3 jobs currently on the posting boards will come down and will be reposted. Going forward all jobs will be posted plantwide until the launch of the second shift. Everyone, including team leaders can post to all jobs. If you post and your confirmed you are locked in for 6 months. Once we go to 2 shifts, the contractual posting system of 1 departmental and 2 plant wide postings will return. If you are currently on lay off and are successful with a posting, you will be recalled to work immediately if work is available.
